New Belgium Citradelic Tangerine IPA

I picked up some sort of summer variety pack from New Belgium that had a number of unique flavors I hadn’t had before. This is one of them, and probably the one I was looking forward to the most.
Scent
The scent of this beer is fairly straightforward: it’s pretty light, in my opinion, and leans toward hops and citrus.
Taste
The taste is very strongly citrus-first. It surely has a typical IPA characteristic to it, and perhaps on the lighter end of the spectrum at that. Somewhat generic tasting if not for the initial tangerine and lemon citrus flavor. Pretty refreshing.
Overall
There really isn’t much to dislike about this beer. It is pretty well done, and the tangerine is a nice touch. A good medium or light bodied IPA that isn’t too sweet or overpoweringly hoppy. I’m afraid it is a bit on the generic side for me, though, so nothing really stands out as “special.” It’s a solid brew, nonetheless.
